The Canisius golf team sits in 14th place after posting a 36-hole team score of 630 on the first day of The Connecticut Cup, hosted by UConn at Ellington Ridge Country Club.

Freshman David Hanes is tied for 27th in the field after the first two rounds, after he carded a two-round tally of 152, which is eight-over par. Sophomore John Dantonio is tied for 55th after he shot a two-round score of 157.

Boston College leads the tournament after two rounds. The Eagles posted a team score of 589. The third and final round of The Connecticut Cup is set to tee off at 8:30 a.m., on Tuesday.
