Even though many states have switched over to winter blend gasoline and there remain abundant crude oil supplies, gas prices have seen some changes this week.

The national average price for regular unleaded gasoline is now $2.22 per gallon, up one cent from last week. The New York State average is $2.33 per gallon, up one cent from the last three weeks. A year ago, the NYS average was $2.42.

Locally, gas prices are up 1 cent and 2 cents in Buffalo and Rochester respectively to $2.28 and $2.27 per gallong.
