ST. CATHERINES, Ont. — The Buffalo Sabres have a 2-1 record in the pre-season thanks to a fourth-round shootout goal by forward Matt Moulson against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Meridian Centre.
Moulson beat Maple Leafs goalie Kasimir Kaskisuo with a wrist shot in the fourth round, while Sabres goalie Anders Nilsson stopped all four shots in the shootout and made 23 saves in regulation for the shutout.
Buffalo and Toronto will rematch Friday night at KeyBank Center.
