ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Niagara women’s golf team completed the first round of the Golden Grizzlies Invitational, hosted by Oakland University, on Monday. The team carded an 18-hole total of 346 (+58).

Selena Cerra led the Purple Eagles, firing an 82 (+10) in round one. Emily Doyle finished second on the team, carding an 85 (+13).

Freshmen Daniella Hopper, Marissa Del Monaco and Sarah Godfrey made their collegiate debuts. Hopper carded an 86 (+14), Del Monaco shot 93 (+21) and Godfrey carded a 96 (+24). The top four scores were counted towards the team total.

The Purple Eagles will complete the final round of the tournament on Tuesday.
