ROCHESTER — Buffalo State men’s and women’s teams each finished 14th in their respective Harry F. Anderson Cross Country Invitationals at Roberts Wesleyan College this afternoon.

For the men, Kevin Murnock (East Aurora/East Aurora) paced the Bengals, finishing 55th out of 213 runners with a time of 27:43.6. Phil Giuga (Tonawanda/Tonawanda) wasn’t far behind, coming in 74th with a time of 28:14.9. Rounding out the Bengals were Brandon Schaffer (Williamsville/Williamsville South) in 126th (29:50.2), Greg Avila-Shah (Lewiston/Lewiston-Porter) at 129th (30:02.3), Benaleo Daniels in 135th (30:19.1) and Mohamed Gomaa (Brooklyn/Transit Tech) with a mark of 31:19.6.

On the women’s side, the Bengals were paced by two top-40 finishers, with Elizabeth Wall (Horseheads/Horseheads) coming in 35th out of 223 runners with a time of 19:45.9 and teammate Ronni Kordrupel (East Aurora/Iroquois) finishing footsteps behind here in 36th, with a mark of 19:46.7. Jaclyn Tedesco (Cheektowaga/Cleveland Hill) finished 67th with a time of 20:25.3.
Rounding out the Buffalo State attack is Brittany Higgs (Buffalo/Olmstead #156) in 173rd (23:42.4), Kayleigh Bystrak (Alden/Iroquois) in 177th (23:48.9) and Nzinga Meadows (Brooklyn/Benjamin Banneker) in 194th (25:00.1).

Buffalo State will return to meet action on Friday at the Washington and Jefferson Invitational.
