KENNEDY — A 32-year-old Jamestown man was charged Saturday with unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on Route 62.

According to New York State Police, Joe Caldwell Jr., was pulled over for a traffic violation. While speaking to Caldwell Jr., the Troopers observed a marijuana smoking device in plain sight, leading to a search of the vehicle and subsequent discovery of a bag containing 17 grams of marijuana.

Caldwell Jr. was issued an appearance ticket and traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Poland Court.
