Buffalo State kicks off SUNYAC conference play this week in men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball to go along with its homecoming football game on Saturday against Empire 8 foe, Morrisville.  Both cross country teams are also competing this weekend at the Roberts Wesleyan Invitational.

And if that wasn’t enough, the Bengals will induct the Class of 2016 into the Athletics Hall of Fame today as well

Here’s everything you need to know about a jam-packed, Buffalo State weekend.

Hall of Fame Ceremony

See Willie Hordge (Track & Football, ’09), Latoya Edwards-Hordge (Track, ’10), Xavier Mateen (Track, ’11), Ashley Parker (Lacrosse, ’08), Mary Cohen (Hockey, ’08), and legendary late football assistant coach Gene Zinni (Honorary) become the newest members of the Buffalo State Athletics Hall of Fame today, live from the Sports Arena.

Football Homecoming

It is much more than just a football game this Saturday!

Join in for a family breakfast at Bengals and Bagels in the Science and Mathematics Complex, starting at 9:45 a.m. If you don’t get your fill there, a food truck rodeo featuring local Buffalo food trucks will be at Coyer Field both before and after the game.

And then, of course, is the homecoming game against Morrisville at noon out at Coyer Field. Tickets are free for Buffalo State students with ID and just $5 for everyone else.

Men’s Soccer

Men’s soccer is off to a hot start (5-2-1) and returns home to open SUNYAC play against Geneseo and Brockport this weekend.

Buffalo State takes on Geneseo at 3:00 p.m. today at Coyer Field.  You can watch today’s game here.

Make sure to stick around after the football game on Saturday to watch the Bengals take on Brockport at 4 p.m.  Admission to both games are free.  If you can’t make it out on Saturday, watch the showdown with Brockport live online.

Women’s Soccer

Women’s soccer is off to a fast start of its own (4-1-2) and takes to the road this weekend to open its SUNYAC schedule.

The Bengals will be at Geneseo on Friday, with kickoff set for 4 p.m.  You can follow along with live stats from the game here.

Buffalo State will remain in the Rochester area, and take on Brockport the following day at 1 p.m. Fans can watch Saturday’s game live online.

Volleyball

Volleyball heads to Brockport as the Golden Eagles host a weekend of SUNYAC pool play on Friday and Saturday to get the conference season underway.

Buffalo State plays Oneonta at 5 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday, the Bengals take on Cortland at 10 a.m. and host Brockport at 12:30 p.m.

Men and Women Cross Country

Buffalo State’s men and women cross country teams are also in Rochester, NY for the Roberts Wesleyan Invitational.

Both the men and women will begin competition at 11 a.m.
