The University at Buffalo volleyball team will open up Mid-American Conference play on a high note this weekend as the Bulls enter conference action off their first win of the year. First up for Buffalo will be a road trip to Kent State and Ohio. In all, the Bulls will play their first three MAC matches on the road.

UB is 1-12 on the year after a five-set win at Bucknell on Saturday night.  Junior Cassie Shado leads the Bulls with a .380 hitting percentage and she is second on the team in kills with 75.  Sophomore Valisha Watkins leads the Bulls with 113 kills.  Freshman Scout McLerran has 389 assists and 17 services aces, while fellow freshman Hannah Watson leads the team with 198 digs.

Kent State has a 7-6 record and most recently won the Comfort Inn-Vitational at Morehead State. Drew Norberg leads Kent State with a .299 hitting percentage and is second on the team with 123 kills, trailing only Kelsey Bittinger, who had 152.  Katarina Kojic has 437 assists, while libero Challen Geraghty leads Kent State with 263 digs, averaging over 5.3 digs per set.

Buffalo will then head to Athens on Saturday night to face the defending MAC Tournament Champions, Ohio.  The Bobcats are 4-8 on the season and most recently defeated Virginia Tech in five sets last Friday night.  Jaime Kosiorek leads Ohio with 134 kills, while Ali Lake has 91 kills and a team-high .300 hitting percentage.  Stephanie Olman has a team-best 291 assists, while Brooke Coleman leads Ohio with 175 digs.

The Kent State match will have live video and audio, while both matches will have live stats.
