BELFAST — A 29-year-old Wellsville man was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated following a tractor trailer roll over crash on State Route 19.
According to New York State Police, Troopers responded to the roll over accident at approximately 8:28 p.m., finding Andrew M Herzog was the driver of a tractor trailer hauling milk headed Southbound. The tractor trailer exited the West shoulder and over turned.
Responding Troopers noted the smell of an alcoholic beverage from Herzog, who was flown to ECMC in Buffalo for medical treatment. Troopers interviewed Herzog and secured blood for evidence.
Herzog was charged with DWI and later processed at SP Amity and issued tickets returnable to the Town of Belfast in October.
