ALLEGANY — A 29-year-old Allegany man is facing charges of grand larceny and criminal impersonation after New York State Police say he stole his mother’s debit card and withdrew funds from her account.

According to NYSP, David T Koch was arrested after a three month investigation brought on when Troopers were contacted by Koch’s mother, who told them money was missing from her bank account.

Through the investigation, it was determined that Koch had taken her newly issued debit card, using it to withdraw money from his mother’s account.

Koch was interviewed at SP Olean where he admitted to the theft and use of the debit card. He was subsequently charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, petit larceny and second-degree criminal impersonation.

Koch is due in City of Olean Court later this month to answer to the charges.
