Saturday night, the village of Medina, in Orleans County was treated to the vocal talents of the world famous Irish Tenor, Dr. Ronan Tynan.
As he entertained the audience with his charm and wit, he told marvelous stories of his life and times, that lead you into his true talents, which was his powerful, awe inspiring vocals.
From the very first tune, he had the audience captivated, and was meet with thunderous applause each time he would finish a song.
What I enjoyed the most about his performance was the heart and soul he put into the song. At one point, as his Pianist Billy Lewis played, I watched Dr. Tynan emerge himself into the music,  and feel the song. When his mouth opened, and that beautiful sound came flowing out, you felt like you were part of the song itself. I am not much of a classical music guy, but to hear him sing with such heart and soul, it brought a tear to my eye. You could feel the passion in his voice, it took control of you. That’s Powerful.
He also sang two songs that I really took note of. I would suggest you go take a look online for his song, The Old Man, which will bring a tear to your eye. The other I am not sure is available on line, but he told the audience that he has always been a fan of Sting. Rightly so. He told a story of how he felt when he first heard the song;  Field’s of Gold, by Sting. Then he gave, the audience the pleasure of singing it. I will tell you that he owned it, and there is not anyone present that night that would disagree with me.
I spoke with Dr. Tynan, and he thanked me for being there and taking photographs of his performance. He also asked me if I enjoyed the show and, as I shook hands with him, I responded with enjoyed, Hell!  I was moved. I stated to the good Doctor that he brought a tear to my eye. He smiled, and then chuckled, and told me he was glad.
My closing thoughts. Ladies and Gentlemen, in this day and age we have a lot of acceptable bubble gum music to listen to. I won’t hate on any of it and honestly, some of it , I enjoy. It can be catchy. However if you want to hear a performance that not only will entertain, but may very possibly move you. I would suggest that you catch Dr. Ronan Tynon Live.
His piano player Billy Lewis was amazing, and Dr. Tynon’s vocals are something that you do not want to miss.
I thank the Orleans County Renaissance Group for the chance to be present and photograph this amazing performer.

MY BEST,
