CLARENCE — A 17-year-old Lancaster male is facing second-degree robbery and fourth-degree grand larceny charges after a woman told New York State Police he robbed her.

According to NYSP, Austin P. Keller wore a mask when he approached a 75-year-old woman in the parking lot of the mall, took her purse and merchandise then ran off.

NYSP K-9 was used to track the Keller to a nearby motel but were unable to locate him. Troopers received a call from Erie County 911 that a suspicious male was attempting to get gas and the gas attendant was alarmed at Keller’s behavior. Keller license plate number was taken and Troopers located Keller at his residence where he was arrested around 4:50 p.m.
