PITTSFORD — Buffalo State broke even on the second day of St. John Fisher Invitational, starting this morning with a solid performance in a four-set victory over Penn State Behrend, before falling in three sets against Allegheny.

Buffalo State won a tight set, 25-23, to open the match, but fell out of rhythm in the second set, falling 25-12.  The Bengals regrouped however, to claim the third, 26-24, and then sealed the win with a 25-21 victory in the fourth. Lauren Hansen (Blue Point/Bayport Blue Point) continued her strong freshman season with a season-best 18 kills to go with nine digs.
