SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The Niagara women’s cross country team participated in the 37th Annual National Catholic Invitational hosted by Notre Dame on Friday.

Caroline Hampton and Kayla Murphy led the Purple Eagles once again, just like they did at the season-opening Little 3 Championships. Hampton ran the 5000M in 19:48 for 66th place with Murphy finishing two places later at a time of 19:52.6. Megan Helf run a personal-best time of 20:36.7 and Julia Freemire ran the race in 20:42.3.

Niagara will compete in the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on Oct. 1.
