SYRACUSE — The University at Buffalo women’s soccer team (3-3-2, 0-0-0 MAC) dropped their first match in the last six on Thursday night as they fell on the road to ACC’s Syracuse Orange, 2-0. The Bulls were outshot 21-11 for the match.

In the final minute of the first half, Laura Dougall kept the game scoreless as she made a nice save on Maddie Iozzi.

The Syracuse Orange got on the board first in the 63rd minute as Sheridan Street tapped one into the back of the net after a great feed from Sydney Brackett. Celina Carrero almost knotted the game in the 89th minute of play but the Syracuse keeper knocked the ball out of bounds to give UB a corner. On the ensuing corner, Syracuse countered and Alana O’Neill beat the UB defense down the field and scored her fourth of the season to give the Orange the 2-0 lead and eventual win.
