TOWN OF LOCKPORT — Two adults and a dog are safe despite a fire that engulfed their Badger Drive home this afternoon.

According to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, numerous 911 calls were made to report the structure fire around 2:23 p.m. When patrol arrived, they found a detached garage in the 6200 block of Badger Drive fully engulfed by flames — and that fire quickly spread to the home.

South Lockport Vol. Fire Company arrived a shortly thereafter, along with mutual aid assistance from numerous other area fire companies to assist in fighting the fire.

The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the family as the residence was completely destroyed by fire.

The Niagara County Origin and Cause team responded and investigation is continuing at this time.
