BALTIMORE — Once the Buffalo Bills offense got a roll, they looked like they might be able to run away with the game this afternoon against the Baltimore Ravens. But penalties and bad plays reared their ugly heads again, resulting in a 13-7 loss.

The Ravens opened up a 10-0 lead as the Bills office struggled to get any positive yardage. Then a few decent plays by the Bills O made it look like things were turning around. LeSean McCoy taking a one-yard dive into the end zone on fourth and goal brought Buffalo to within three points as both teams headed into the locker room for half time.

In the third quarter, the Bills marched the ball down the field and Dan Carpenter prepared to tie the game at 10 … but missed on the 49-yard field goal attempt. Whatever momentum the Bills had found seemed to go wide right after that — just like the kick.

Baltimore upped their lead to six points with a 37-yard field goal with just under six minutes to go. The Bills had ample time to make the comeback, but couldn’t move the ball. After the Bills three-and-out, Baltimore retained possession through the final ticks.

The Bills have a short time to figure out their mistakes as they’re back on the field Thursday night for a prime time game against the New York Jets.
