BUFFALO — The Canisius women’s soccer team closes out the non-league portion of its 2016 schedule Friday night when the Golden Griffins travel to meet cross-town rival Buffalo.
Canisius enters Friday’s road game riding a two-game winning streak after the Blue and Gold went on the road and defeated St. Bonaventure 2-1 on Sept. 2. UB, meanwhile, is 2-2-2 this season. The Bulls are 2-0-2 in their last four games, including a 3-1 win over Navy Sept. 4.
Canisius and Buffalo have played 37 times since 1981, with the Bulls leading the all-time series 23-11-3. Last season, Buffalo defeated Canisius 2-0 at the Demske Sports Complex.
