TOWN OF TONAWANDA — The Town of Tonawanda Police Department is asking some of its residents to shelter in place.
The police department posted a tweet shortly before 5 p.m. that said an investigation was going on near 51 Ritchie Ave., asking nearby residents to shelter in place.
We are requesting all residents of the area of 51 Ritchie Avenue to shelter in place at this time while an investigation is underway.— Town/Tonawanda PD (@TTPD) September 4, 2016
UPDATE: (7:01 p.m.): The request to shelter in place has been rescinded. The TTPD thanks local residents for their assistance.
