Norma Ruth (nee Jones) Nicholson, 93, of Wheatfield, NY, passed from this life on Sunday, August 28, 2016 in Elderwood at Wheatfield.  Born on October 5, 1922 in Leivasy, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lee Tony Washington Jones and the late Amy Annie Jones.

Norma attended schools in West Virginia and graduated from Richwood High School.  In 1968 she came to Niagara Falls, NY to be closer to her family.  For many years, Norma was employed by Servomation and later she retired from the Summit Park Mall, where she worked in the housekeeping department.  For over 40 years, she attended First Assembly of God in Niagara Falls.  Norma enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.  She loved traveling to the country with her dear friend Ethel to pick fresh fruit and vegetables.  Norma will be missed by all who knew her and remembered as a sweet, extraordinary and extra special person.

Norma is survived by one daughter, Guelda (Dave) Ciera of the Town of Niagara, NY; one grandson, Frank (Lynda) Masic; one sister, Toni (Bill) George of North Carolina and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one daughter, Jackie (Jim of North Carolina) McDuffee; one sister, Carrie (Brook of Delaware) Watson and one brother, Weaver (late Oma Lee) Jones.

There will be no prior visitation or funeral services.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to SPCA of Niagara.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, in the Town of Niagara.
