KENNEDY — A 46-year-old Jamestown man was charged Sunday with aggravated driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on Route 62.

According to New York State Police, Steven Ward was pulled over for failing to dim his high beams and placed under arrest after Troopers determined him to be intoxicated. A bag containing marijuana and a marijuana cigarette were located in Ward’s pockets when he was searched prior to transport.

At SP Jamestown, Ward provided a breath sample of .18. He was then processed, issued tickets returnable to the Town of Poland Court and released.  He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Poland Court next month to answer the charges.
