BUFFALO — The Erie County Water Authority is reporting water main breaks in several communities, including Amherst, Depew, Hamburg, Lackawanna, Lancaster, and West Seneca.
Be advised: Water main breaks in Amherst, Depew, Hamburg, Lackawanna, Lancaster & W. Seneca. Crews on scene. Stand by for further updates.— ECWA (@ECWAuthority) July 24, 2016
The water authority says that customers may have discolored water, low water pressure, and in some cases, no water at all.
A water main break in Amherst no Wednesday night resulted in a boil water advisory for many communities, which was lifted on Saturday. The water authority has not publicly issued any sort of advisory due to this morning’s breaks, however it has indicated that the problem will be fixed by later today.
UPDATE: There is no advisory to boil water at this time.
Update: Presently no plans for public directive (i.e. boil water notice); customers may experience low pressure/discolored water until fixed— ECWA (@ECWAuthority) July 24, 2016
