NIAGARA FALLS — An 18-year-old Niagara Falls man was charged Wednesday evening with driving while ability impaired by drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on the LaSalle Expressway.
New York State Police say Andre McDaniels was stopped for operating without a seatbelt. Following the stop, Troopers observed an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, which McDaniels admitted to smoking about an hour before the stop and was also found to be in possession of.
Subsequent to standardized field sobriety tests, he was taken into custody and transported to SP Niagara for processing, where he was charged and issued appearance tickets returnable in the City of Niagara Falls Court.
