PORTVILLE — A 23-year-old Ischua man was charged Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following a traffic stop on ST-417.

According to New York State Police, Patrick M. Nugent was stopped for using his cell phone while driving.  During the interview, Troopers determined that Nugent’s driver’s license was suspended.

Subsequent to a search after the arrest for AUO, Nugent was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and smoking devices.

Nugent was arraigned on all charges in the Village of Portville court and released on $300 bail. He is scheduled to return to court later this month.
