BUFFALO — A 31-year-old man is facing murder charges in the death of his friend whose body was found in 2008.

According to Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr., Erik Donaldson was indicted on one count of second-degree murder on Tuesday, alleged to have shot his friend, 22-year-old Christian Thomas of Buffalo. Thomas went missing on Dec. 30, 2007 and was found in an area between two houses on Montana Street on April 8, 2008. He had been shot in the face and the back.

Donaldson pleaded not guilty and was remanded to jail without bail. He will be back before Erie County Court Judge Thomas P. Franczyk on July 18 for a pre-trial conference.
