HUME — A 31-year-old Fillmore man was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on State Route 19.

According to New York State Police, Jason W. Marshall was stopped for speeding. While being interviewed, NYSP determined that Marshall was intoxicated.

He was arrested for DWI and taken to SP Fillmore for processing, where he was found to have a .14 percent blood alcohol content. While searching his vehicle, Troopers found two smoking devices with marijuana residue, leading to the possession charge.

Marshall was released on tickets and is scheduled to appear before the Town of Hume Court on Thursday.
