FRIENDSHIP — A 31-year-old Ashtabula, Ohio woman was charged Tuesday with false personation, accused of giving New York State Police a fake name.
According to NYSP, while they were investigating an incident at the rest area on I-86 in the Town of Friendship, Amanda S. Callaghan provided them a false name and date of birth after being warned that it was a crime to do so.
She was taken to the Amity Troopers’ barracks for processing, arraigned in Town of Friendship Court and remanded to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $700 cash bail or $1400 bond.
