BURNS — A 45-year-old Canaseraga man was charged Monday with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on State Route 70.

According to New York State Police, Frederick L. Halbert was stopped for driving on the shoulder of the roadway, as well as failure to keep right. When he was interviewed by Troopers, he was determined to be intoxicated.

Halbert was taken to the Fillmore Troopers’ barracks, where he was found to have a .16 percent blood alcohol content. He was later released on tickets returnable to Town of Burns Court on July 11.
