Summer is getting into full swing in WNY, and the events and activities at Larkin Square this week are irrefutable evidence of that.

The Larkin Square Author Series continues Monday night at the Filling Station with a timely talk by Barbara Ballinger, author of The Garden Bible: Designing your perfect outdoor space. Attendees are encourgaged to ask questions of author and Garden expert, in this event which is a lead-in to next month’s popular Garden Walk Buffalo.

Tuesday sees LeeRon Zydeco and the Hot Tamales performing at Food Truck Tuesday. Full food truck list available here, and remember: there are also plenty of offerings of local beer and wine to wash those tasty morsels down with.

Wednesday is East Side Night at Live at Larkin, the concert series that runs every Wednesday through Aug. 31, and this week features Unity Band, 4B-Lo, and the Buffalo Concertina All Stars.

Throughout the week a huge variety of actvities are available to the public, such as Pickleball, Fitness in the Park, and the Larkin Links “nano golf” course.

Explore the surrounding neighborhood while you are taking in the “Whimsy Amongst the Warehouses”: Flying Bison Brewery, Tommy Rotter Distillery, Marinaro’s Larkin Tavern and Hydraulic Hearth which includes 716 GAL-LERY, described as the city’s “smallest art gallery.”

Larkin Square events continue throughout the summer; check their website for full event listings.
