LEWISTON — A 35-year-old Youngtown woman was charged Tuesday with drugged driving — with kids in the car.
According to New York State Police, Jessica Own was stopped for a traffic infraction around 3 p.m. when Troopers determined her to be impaired. She was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, as well as a felony Leandra’s Law violation — on account of the two minor children who were passengers. She was also charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for prescription drugs found in her possession.
Owen was transported to SP Niagara for processing and issued appearance tickets returnable in the Town of Lewiston court.
