BUFFALO — The Buffalo Writers’ Theater and Talk Back Theater present a Playwrights and Actors Jam at 7 p.m. Monday at 1412 Main St. — formerly Buffalo East.

The groups will present plays about nuclear calamity, the afterlife, life before life, “landfill adventures,” purple aliens, Tony and Tina redux, and Jon Elson on TV. The short original plays from Buffalo playwrights will be performed by “an outstanding collection of Buffalo actors,” according to the group — as a one-time performance.

The free event features the works of playwrights Mark LLoyd, Melody Van Smith, Mark Humphry, Jon Elston, Justin Karcher, and Mike Fanelli. Performers include Stephanie Bax, Chris Standart, Candace Whitfield, Becky Globus, Mike Leszczynsi, Tyler Brown, and Tim Finnegan.
