TOWN OF NIAGARA — A 51-year-old Lewiston woman was charged Monday with driving while ability impaired and endangering the welfare of a child following a traffic stop on Witmer Road.

According to New York State Police, Brenda Myles was stopped for an equipment violation and determined to be intoxicated. Myles had a 12-year-old passenger in the car and was driving with a suspended license due to a prior DWI, according to police, for which she was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Myles was taken into custody, transported to SP Niagara for processing and later released on appearance tickets returnable in the Town of Niagara court.
