BUFFALO — A “shots fired” call Tuesday night resulted in the arrest of two men, charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

According to Buffalo police, Northeast District officers were flagged down by a passerby just before 10 p.m. at Masten Avenue and Eaton Street regarding a vehicle that shots were being fired from. A short time later, officers located a vehicle matching the description on Dodge Street.

Police pulled over the vehicle and recovered a revolver inside the car. One of the suspects, 28-year-old Antowan Davis of Buffalo temporarily broke free from police and began running on Masten Avenue but was quickly apprehended. He is charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon, having a loaded firearm, felony criminal possession of a narcotic drug and criminal possession of a controlled substance, as well as escape, obstruction of governmental administration and introducing contraband into prison.

Also arrested was 31-year-old Demark Hood, charged with felony second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and having a loaded firearm.
