CASTILE — Several police agencies are still searching for two missing juveniles who went over the lower falls at Letchworth State Park Saturday evening.

In all, seven people went over the lower falls around 6:30 p.m., five of whom were rescued and transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with injuries varying from serious to minor. Still unaccounted for are a nine-year-old and a six-year-old in the lower falls area of Letchworth State Park.

The New York State Park Police and New York State Police are actively continuing to search the area. Also called to assist were the Wyoming County Sheriffs. New York State Police Helicopters and Underwater Recovery Team (URT) were also being used to search for those who fell in.

Areas near and around the lower falls at Letchworth State Park are closed at this time. This is an ongoing investigation and the names of the parties involved are not being released at this time.

New York State Park Police are planning to release more information this afternoon.
