NUNDA — A 47-year-old Nunda man was charged Friday as a result of a continued investigation involving a 12-year-old boy.
According to New York State Police, Herman J. Hassell was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child as a result of that investigation from May 10.
Hassell was arraigned in Allegany County Court in front of Judge Terrence Parker and was remanded to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. He was directed to appear in Town of Hume Court at a later date.
The State Police were assisted in this investigation by Allegany County Child Protective Services, Allegany County District Attorney’s Office and the Nunda Police Department.
