TOWN OF NIAGARA — A 54-year-old Niagara Falls woman was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Hyde Park Boulevard.

According to New York State Police, Maria Marshall was stopped after the vehicle she was operating struck a curb around 2:40 p.m. After she exited her vehicle, she was seen swaying and stumbling and determined to be intoxicated.

She was taken into custody for DWI and transported to SP Niagara for processing, where she was found to have a blood-alcohol content of .15 percent.

Marshall was charged with Felony DWI due to a prior conviction, and issued appearance tickets returnable in the Town of Niagara court.
