GRAND ISLAND — A Buffalo woman and a Niagara Falls woman were both charged Thursday with prostitution and criminal possession of a controlled substance following a “counter prostitution operation” at a Grand Island hotel.
According to Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard, Ann Canino, 53, of Buffalo and Laure Kane, 37, of Niagara Falls were both arrested after they agreed to perform sexual acts for money.
Following the prostitution arrests, the defendants were searched and deputies found crack pipes with residue in their possession.
The women were released on appearance tickets for Grand Island Town Court on July 27.
