BUFFALO — More than 1,000 superheroes — some in costume and some dressed as their secret identities — walked and ran the outer ring around Delaware Park Friday evening to raise money and awareness for the local mental health community.
With the notion that anyone could be a superhero, the goal for this year was to raise $100,000.

According to Score-This, which certified the results of the race, Gerard Llimos-Aubach of Buffalo placed first in the race, crossing the finish line at 17:08. The first female to cross was Lizzy Mahoney, also of Buffalo, at 20:11.
