Loaded handgun seized following traffic stop

BUFFALO — Buffalo police seized a loaded handgun after officers pulled over a vehicle for tinted windows Saturday afternoon.

According to police, the traffic stop took place at 2:34 p.m. at Suffolk Avenue and the Kensington Ramp,

During the stop, police say they found marijuana in the vehicle in addition to the loaded gun.

Marquise Jones, 19, of Buffalo, was arrested and charged with felony criminal possession of a loaded firearm. Xavier Wimes, 24, of Cheektowaga, was charged with felony criminal possession of a loaded firearm, misdemeanor criminal possession of marijuana and vehicle and traffic infractions.
