BUFFALO — The 2016 Pride Parade steps off at noon onto Elmwood Avenue at Forest Avenue, making its way south on Elmwood until it hits Allen Street.
Over 100 organizations are expected to take part in the annual celebration.
Organizers say, “The Pride Parade is a time when our LGBTQ community marches together in celebration of our history, culture, and achievements. You will enjoy vibrant floats, see entertaining performances, and spend time with thousands of your closest friends to say, ‘HOORAY!’ for our community.”
Following the parade, the Pride Festival takes place from 1 – 7 p.m.
Deborah Cox will be the main stage performer and over 15,000 people are expected to grace Canalside during the event — weather permitting.
