NIAGARA FALLS — A 24-year-old Buffalo man was charged Thursday with criminal possession of controlled substances and criminal impersonation following a Buffalo Avenue traffic stop.

According to New York State Police, Abel Blake was a passenger in a vehicle that had been stopped due to the driver not wearing a seat belt. Police say Blake was found to be in possession of Hydrocodone and Suboxone.

He was taken into custody and transported to SP Niagara for processing. At the scene of arrest, Blake gave a false name and date of birth due to having two outstanding warrants from the Town of Niagara. After he was processed, Blake was turned over to the Niagara PD.
