This Friday at the Albright Knox is once again First Friday, during which a portion of the gallery and several events are free for all attending, while some other activities are available for a fee.
The monthly event runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., featuring classes and tours throughout the day. Be part of the Faces of Buffalo drop-in art activity from 5 to 7 p.m., and explore your opportunity to become part of the 20th Anniversary Art Alive Commemorative Community Art Mosaic.
Jazz and Happy Hour happens in the AK Café from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with drink specials and music by George Kane and Wayne Moose.
At 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium, a performance by singer/songwriter Vin DeRosa continues until 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available for $5 to the general public, but are free for Gallery members.
The exploration of the “Art of Food and Drink” continues in the sculpture garden with “Backyard Breweries.” Sample local offerings from Big Ditch, Hamburg Brewing Company, Flying Bison, and Resurgence. Registration for “Backyard Breweries” is required, with admission $10 for the public, $5 for AK members. The registration form is available here.
The full schedule for June 3rd First Friday – as well as upcoming First Fridays and so many other events! – is available at the Albright-Knox website.
