PENDLETON — An unidentified man is dead following a crash on Campbell Boulevard.

Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies say the man was traveling north on Campbell Boulevard when he failed to negotiate a curve, striking the front of a commercial building at 6421 Campbell Boulevard and continuing out the side of the building, coming to rest about 80 yards from the structure.

The driver was treated by Wendelville Fire Company and Twin City Ambulance but was pronounced deceased on the scene. There was one employee working in the business at the time of the accident but she was in the rear of the building, away from the entry and exit points of the vehicle. She was not injured.

The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office says “there may have been a medical emergency prior to the collision.”

The accident, which happened at 2:04 p.m., remains under investigation. The name of the deceased will be released at a later time pending notification of family.
