BUFFALO — With a scheduled 6:30 a.m. start time, the Buffalo Marathon is underway with hundreds of runners traversing the city of Buffalo this morning and early afternoon.
Race officials went with an earlier start time this year in hopes of allowing most runners to avoid the high afternoon temperatures. It’s expected to reach 86 degrees today in the Queen City.
Roads along the race’s path are already closed with most remaining closed until early afternoon. The full list of closures and their approximate times follows:
