WEST SENECA — A 30-year-old Cattaraugus man was charged Wednesday with felony driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on State Route 219.

According to New York State Police, Kirk L. Sterling was stopped for speeding and determined to be intoxicated.

Sterling was taken to the State Troopers barracks in Boston and found to have a .14 percent blood alcohol content and a prior DWI conviction in the previous 10 years, leading to the felony charge.

He was processed and ordered to appear in Town of West Seneca Court on May 20.
