DUNKIRK — A 47-year-old Dunkirk man was charged Friday with driving while ability impaired by drugs and alcohol.

According to New York State Police, Peter Moldenhauer was pulled over for speeding on Progress Drive and found to be intoxicated. Police say Moldenhauer had taken took two Valiums and a Sudafed prior to driving.

Molderhauer was transported to SP Fredonia where he provided a positive breath sample, a urine sample and was evaluated by a Chautauqua County Drug Recognition Expert. Molderhauer was then issued tickets returnable to the City of Dunkirk Court where he is scheduled to appear in June.
