FREDONIA — New York State Police charged a 70-year-old Fredonia man with driving while intoxicated following a Sunday traffic stop.

According to Troopers Robert Henssler was seen driving his vehicle at a high rate of speed toward a group of pedestrians who were standing in a private driveway.

Henssler was determined to be intoxicated and placed under arrest before being transported to SP Fredonia where he was found to have a .09 percent blood alcohol content.

He was then issued tickets returnable to the Village of Fredonia Court.
