BUFFALO — Explore Buffalo’s Bike Tours kick off May 15 with their “Luxury Living: Delaware District by Bike.”

The “Luxury” tour meets up at 10 a.m. in front of the Teddy Roosevelt Inaugural Site, and will spend about two hours teaching participants about the mansions that line Delaware Avenue, venturing off to adjacent neighborhoods to view some of the “opulance and elegance” off the beaten path.

May 22 brings the first of two “Landmarks and Landscapes” tours. Participants will meet at 2 p.m. at the Indian Hunter Statue on Delaware Park’s Ring Road. The tour will highlight the landscape architecture of Frederick Law Olmstead, along with the works of Frank Lloyd Wright and Henry Hobson Richardson.

Concluding May’s Explore Buffalo Sunday Bike Tours is “What’s New in Buffalo by Bike?” Meeting at 2 p.m. May 29 at the Tim Horton Statue at Main Street and Marine Drive near Harbor Center, folks can see for themselves the exciting changes afoot at Canalside and the Cobblestone District.

Make sure to get your picture with “Shark Girl” while you’re down there.

Explore Buffalo offers a variety of other ways to see many aspects of the Queen City, with Bus and Kayak tours available in addition to the bike tours. Tickets for individual events are available, as are “Explorer Passes.”
