NEWFANE — Celebrate the coming of spring with The Newfane Historical Society’s Annual Apple Blossom Festival. Set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 15 at the Country Village site at the corner of West Creek and Ide roads.

The annual family tradition in the northern Niagara County Town offers craft and food vendors, games, attractions and live music. It marks  the coming of Spring each May, while apple and farm crops are honored in September at the Apple Harvest Festival.

Newfane’s Historical Society celebrated 40 years of preserving the history and artifacts of the area in 2015. The Society’s oversight has explanded to include the “haunted” Van Horn Mansion on Route 78, as well as the Country Village site.
