A Fox News poll released today shows GOP frontrunner Donald Trump with a huge lead heading into April 19th New York Presidential Primary. Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton has a similar — although not as massive — lead herself.

Both candidates have double-digit leads in the race for their party’s respective nominations in New York.

Trump shows 54 percent of the expected vote — compared to 22 percent for Ohio Gov. John Kasich and 15 percent for Sen. Ted Cruz. He leads among men, women, every age group, every income group, and across educational backgrounds.

Clinton, meanwhile, leads Sanders 53 percent to 37 percent in the poll, conducted Monday through Thursday.

New York rarely comes into play in the presidential primary season. This year, it’s in play in both parties with Trump trying to rally as many delegates as possible to reach the 50 percent threshold before the Republican Convention and Clinton looking to bounce Sanders from the field as quickly as possible to focus her efforts on the assumed eventual Republican nominee.
